BCR 137: Bernd Heinrich, Preeminent Naturalist, Author and Scientist

 

Today’s guest is Bernd Heinrich, a preeminent Naturalist Author and Scientist. Bernd is also a noted Professor Emeritus of the University of Vermont; biologist and runner. Bernd taught entomology at the University of California, Berkley in the 70’s and biology and zoology at the University of Vermont until 2004. His well-regarded research work in the comparative physiology and behavior of insects is reflected in hundreds of scientific papers. He has written and published 21 popular books on various natural history subjects, drawing on years of original research for his subject matter. Bernd still spends as much time as possible in the North Woods.
