Bad year for ticks forecasted
Everybody is predicting a bad year for ticks. It makes sense considering the very mild winter we’ve had. I personally haven’t seen any ticks yet, but I’ve heard of several people who have.
Deer ticks (the small ones), of course, transmit Lyme Disease, so it’s important to check yourselves after each walk in the woods. Check yourself carefully, too. I won’t get too graphic here, but I’ve found ticks in some pretty strange places on myself and my kids. I just want everyone to be Lyme-free.
Don’t let the threat of ticks keep you out of the woods, though. Just be careful out there.
