BCR 165: Kenn Kaufman, A Season on the Wind, Inside the world of spring migration
Kenn Kaufman, Author of the Kaufman Field Guide Series along with other numerous books. Today we will be talking with Kenn about his latest book scheduled for release today April 2, 2019, called “A Season on the Wind, Inside the World of Spring Migration” by Kenn Kaufman, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt 2019. The book is centered on the bird migration over the Ohio Lake Shore near where he lives.
His book projects have included his own field guide series, Kaufman Field Guides, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Company of Boston. This series now includes volumes on North American birds, butterflies, mammals, insects, and advanced bird ID, plus guides to nature of New England and the Midwest. His other books include Lives of North American Birds and Flights Against the Sunset. His current projects include painting portraits of birds. Kenn is a Fellow of the American Ornithological Society, and has received the American Birding Association’s lifetime achievement award twice—a distinction shared only with the late Chan Robbins.
