Bird Calls Radio coming back to the air
Yes, it’s been a while since the last Bird Calls program on WSTC/WNLK. Those stations were sold about a month ago and all the shows were left homeless.
Well, Bird Calls Radio has found a new place to roost. Starting on Sunday, Dec. 11, Bird Calls will be aired live from 1 to 2 p.m. each Sunday on WGCH AM1490. The station is based in Greenwich, Conn., and the airwaves (depending on weather conditions and strength of you antenna) may be picked up throughout southern Fairfield County and into Westchester County, N.Y., and parts of Long Island, N.Y.
Cloudy day or live outside that area? Don’t worry. Visit www.birdcallsradio.com and click on the “Listen Live” button at the top of the page and tune in live via the Internet from anywhere in the world (pretty much anywhere, that is.) Of course, the shows will also be added to BC Radio Archives section as well, in case you can’t tune in live for some strange reason.
So Bird Calls is back. We promise to continue to bring you the latest news on wild birds, some birding experiences and, of course, interviews with interesting guests from the birding world of Connecticut and beyond.
Have a suggestion on how to make Bird Calls radio program better? Please click on the “Contact Me” button on the top of this page and let me know. What do you like about the show and what don’t you like about the show? What would you like to hear more of? Let me know. The way I see it, we’re all in it together. We all want to have a little fun, learn a little and spread the word about our wonderful wild birds. Let me know your thoughts.
I’ll keep you updated on any developments through this blog. In the meantime, see you on the 11th. (Well, I won’t really see you, but you know what I mean.)
As always, thanks for your support and checking out Bird Calls.
Wonderful! I can’t wait! I’m in Ohio but I still love listening your show!
