Joe Zeranski, co-author of Connecticut Birds, next guest on Bird Calls Radio
Tune into Bird Calls Radio this Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. to listen to Joe Zeranski, co-author of Connecticut Birds, talk about the historic book and the history of birdwatching in Connecticut. Zeranski has been watching birds in Connecticut for about 50 years and is a wealth of information regarding the history of birds in the state.
Joe Warren of Wild Birds Unlimited in Darien will talk about juvenile birds and will reiterate his offer to give away a five-pound bag of seed to anyone who comes into his store on Heights Road in Darien, CT, and mentions Bird Calls radio show.
I will discuss woodpeckers at the beginning of the show and perhaps play a pileated woodpecker call, if time permits.
Birds Calls runs 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays at WSTC/WNLK AM 1400/1350 in southern CT and nearby NY or www.wstcwnlk.com worldwide. Archives are available at www.birdcallsradio.com
