Walking into work: American coot

American coot spotted on the Norwalk River as I walked into The Hour offices this afternoon.

OK, I admit it, a lousy photo, but by the time I got my camera ready, this guy was already heading out into the middle of the river. I’ll take a coot sighting any day, though, camera ready or not.
