Coming up on Bird Calls Radio

It will be a fun and lively Bird Calls Radio on Sunday. I will be participating in the Christmas Bird Count on Sunday morning and then heading to the radio studio to discuss what I saw and also have LIVE updates from the field from birders in Norwalk and Greenwich. I hope to speak with the boat crew from the Westport Circle to hear what they found out on Long Island Sound. Purple sandpipers, snowy owl, northern gannet, scoters, eiders? We’ll find out Sunday.

A group from the Greenwich/Stamford Circle is expected to join me live in studio for an update on how their Count is going. When was the last time you heard live updates from a citizen science bird count? Should be a great show.

I’ll also have some regular features, such as a historical look at birding, This Week’s Birds, bird facts and rare bird alerts. Perhaps there will be a giveaway of some as well. Tune in to find out.

As always, thanks for your support of Bird Calls Radio. The show airs live from 1 to 2 p.m. each Sunday on WGCH AM1490 out of Greenwich, CT. Click “listen live” above to tune in via the Internet. Archives are available on www.birdcallsradio a few days following the live show.
