Julian Hough

Julian Hough, wildlife photographer and worldly birder, will be the next guest on BirdCallsRadio this Sunday (Easter) April 8 from 1 to 2 p.m. on 1490 WGCH or Listen Live.

Hough was born in England and traveled as a teenager looking for birds. He came to Cape May, N.J., in the 1980s when he met birders such as Kevin Karlson, Richard Crossley and Pete Dunne. A fascination with migration drew him to Cape May. He currently lives in New Haven, Connecticut, and is active in the Connecticut birding community.

He has traveled extensively looking for birds and has visited places such as Nepal, India, China, and South America, in the search of birds.

An accomplished artist and graphic designer, he picked up photography as a creative outlet when time constraints limited his drawing. He is on the Nikon Birding pro staff. His photography may be seen on a variety of websites and in a variety of publications.

Hough is also a member of the Avian Records Committee of Connecticut and helps determine the historical accounts of birds found in the state. Tune in to find out how that whole process works.

Thanks for supporting BirdCallsRadio and don’t forget to tune in Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday’s show, as usual, will be repeated on 1490 WGCH and Listen Live, from 9 to 10 p.m. on Monday.
