My snow birds

Northern cardinal by Chris Bosak (copyright, all rights reserved)

A good weekend in the yard for birds — not surprising considering the wintry weather.

I had my first juncos of the year, cardinals, white-breasted nuthatches, tufted titmice, black-capped chickadees, blue jays, red-bellied woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers, mourning doves, house finches and lots of duck flyovers. Nothing too exceptional, but I’ll take the “regulars” any day.

What visited your yard? Drop me a line by clicking “contact me” above.

Also, stay tuned to www.birdcallsradio.com for the Al Levantin archive, which will be posted tomorrow morning (I hope.)

As always, thanks for checking in with Bird Calls Radio. Be sure to check out Bird Calls every Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. on WSTC/WNLK AM1400/1350 (in S. CT and nearby NY) or https://birdcallsradio.com/listen-live/ from anywhere in the world (where there’s Internet access, that is.)
