Connecticut Audubon Society 2012 State of the Birds report released

Our friends at Connecticut Audubon Society released its 2012 State of the Birds report at a press conference on Friday. The event was well attended and the Report, as usual, is very insightful and important. This year’s topic is one near and dear to my heart, which is getting children more involved with the outdoors. To see the article I wrote The Hour newspaper about the Report, click here.

Milan Bull, one of the founders of the Report and the senior director of conservation and science for CAT, will be my guest on Bird Calls Radio next Sunday. We will discuss at length the latest report. Bull was also my very first guest on Bird Calls Radio in March 2011, during which we discussed the 2011 State of the Birds. Be sure to tune in next week for an exciting interview about the Report.

Of course, don’t forget to check out tomorrow’s Bird Calls Radio program as John Fitzpatrick, director of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, will discuss the Great Backyard Bird Count.

Great stuff coming up on Bird Calls Radio!
