Phil Donahue, creator and host of The Phil Donahue Show, will be the next guest on BirdCallsRadio, coming up this Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. on 1490 WGCH and on WORLDWIDE Streaming here on “Listen Live“.

Mr. Donahue will discuss, among other things, his extensive Purple Martin bird colony at his Connecticut home.  Among many guests Mr. Donahue has interviewed, we will touch on his conversations with Edward O. Wilson, World renowned biologist and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “The Ants”., and James D. Watson, best known as a co-discoverer of the structure of DNA in 1953 with Francis Crick.

Donahue is an American media personality, writer and film producer, best known for The Phil Donahue Show, which ran from 1967 to 1996,  the longest running syndicated talk show in U.S. television history.

More recently he hosted a show called Donahue on MSNBC. In 2007, Donahue served as executive producer for the feature documentary film, Body of War.  His books include “Donahue: My Own Story and The Human Animal.” Donahue was awarded nine Emmy Awards during his broadcasting career, and was inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame in 1993.  In May of 2002, TV Guide named “DONAHUE” as one of the Fifty Greatest TV Shows of all time.
